Leon County Supervisor of Elections Announces Qualified Local Candidates for 2026 Elections
Leon County, FL – Mark S. Earley, Supervisor of Elections for Leon County, announces the list of qualified local candidates for 2026 Elections. The qualifying period ended at noon on Friday, June 12. In order to qualify for local office and appear on the ballot, candidates must have submitted complete qualifying paperwork and any qualifying fees with the Elections Office by the deadline.
“My office has finished processing all qualifying paperwork for local candidates in Leon County,” said Supervisor Earley. “I encourage every eligible voter to use their voice in both the Primary and General Elections by casting their ballot. If you are eligible and not yet registered to vote, now is the time to register and get election ready. Do not wait until the last minute.”
A list of qualified candidates for local races can be found below and at LeonVotes.gov. Unopposed candidates will not appear on the ballot, and instead automatically take office after the General Election.
Candidates for federal, state, and multicounty office qualify with the Florida Division of Elections. For information on those candidates, visit dos.fl.gov/elections.
With the approach the August 18 Primary Election, voters are encouraged to register to vote or update their existing voter registration. The deadline to register to vote or change party affiliation in time for the Primary Election is July 20. Voters can visit LeonVotes.gov/RegisterToVote for information on how to register or update an existing registration. Voters can also request Vote-by-Mail ballots for the 2026 Primary or General Elections at LeonVotes.gov/RequestVBM.
