Citizen Initiatives
Residents of Leon County have the option to create and support initiatives to change the Leon County Charter and the Florida Constitution. In addition, residents of Tallahassee can support initiatives to change city ordinances. This process is known as a citizen initiative. Read below for further information about the initiative process.
Florida Constitutional Amendment Initiatives

Leon County Charter and Ordinance Initiatives

Petition Verification Fees
Sponsors of citizen initiatives must pay 84 cents per petition verified (Last updated 2/2/2022).
The fee must be paid upon submission of a batch of petitions (100.371(11)(b),F.S.).
