Tallahassee Campaign Contribution Refund Program

The City of Tallahassee has a campaign contribution refund program. The program is designed to encourage small donations by individual contributors to candidates for Tallahassee mayor and city commissioner.

Who Is Eligible?

To be eligible for the refund, you must be a City of Tallahassee resident and registered voter. You must have contributed to a candidate’s campaign for mayor or city commissioner.

How Much of a Refund Can I Receive?

You may receive a refund of up to $25 during an election cycle.

How Do I Apply?

To receive a refund, you must complete and submit a claim form to the Tallahassee Independent Ethics Board. You can submit the form using any of these methods:
  • Online: Submit a completed Electronic Refund Claim Form with a copy of your receipt from the candidate's principal campaign committee.
  • Email: Email a completed Refund Claim Form with a copy of your receipt from the candidate's principal campaign committee to ethics@talgov.com.
  • Mail: Mail a completed Refund Claim Form with a copy of your receipt from the candidate's principal campaign committee to the address on the form.
Once the Ethics Board receives your form and receipt they will verify eligibility, and the City of Tallahassee will send you a refund within 45 days.
