Adopt A Precinct

Part of the success of the Supervisor of Elections office is building strong partnerships with our community. One such program, the Adopt-A-Precinct Program, was adopted in December of 2007. This program reaches out to community service organizations to partner with us and serve the voters of Leon County.

The Adopt-A-Precinct program allows community service organizations to volunteer their time and “adopt” a voting precinct. On Election Day, this organization or association will staff a location and provide services to the voters. The money that would normally be paid an election worker is instead donated to that organization or association through the volunteers that worked on Election Day. This program allows our office to reach out to different organizations to give them an opportunity to provide community services for their human needs organization. This program has been very successful and we have plans to further expand the program in the future.

If you would like further information regarding our Adopt-A-Precinct Program please feel free to contact our office at 606-VOTE (8683).
